This video was shared with me on Facebook & I thought it was worth sharing here. ‘The Fun Theory’ http://www.thefuntheory.com say, “they believe that the easiest way to change people’s behaviour for the better is by making it fun to do.”
They adapted an ordinary street bin with sound effects & because it was fun & captured the interest of people, 72kgs of litter was collected over one day, 41kg more than another bin a short distance away. This astounded me, but if it works, why not. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cbEKAwCoCKw&feature=share

I can just envisage children running around in parks looking desperately for litter to put in musical or talking rubbish bins.
This novel and fun idea is probably in my opinion a more successful in teaching tool for the next generation of Australians than some of their parents, as evidenced by the photo above, who dump their rubbish for others to pick up
