The streetscape along this section of Livingstone Road Marrickville

The streetscape along this section of Livingstone Road Marrickville is not unusual in many other streets across Marrickville LGA.

Clr Max Phillips posted the following on Marrickville2020 on FaceBook –

“Street Tree Master Plan – terms of reference.   Council is about to draft its consultancy scope for conducting its street tree master planning. Councillors have been asked for feedback on the consultancy scope, so, in turn, I’d like to ask for your feedback here on Facebook on any particular aspect of street trees & their context in the streetscape that you’d like Marrickville Council to take into consideration when drafting our street tree master plan.”

This is actually quite an important issue, as the Street Tree Masterplan will decide how our streetscape looks well into the future.  There will also be formal community consultation further along the process.

You can send your feedback & ideas to Clr Phillips via email at – mphillips@marrickville.nsw.gov.au

Residents are creating verge gardens along some sections of Albermarle Street Marrickville. I think this would be a very hot street in summer.

It’s wonderful that residents are creating verge gardens along some sections of Albermarle Street Marrickville. I think this would be a very hot street in summer.

I remember feeling shocked at the beauty when I first saw Williams Parade in Dulwich Hill.

I remember feeling shocked at the beauty when I first saw Williams Parade in Dulwich Hill.  This was taken on a bleak rainy day, yet it still looks wonderful.
