A pedestrian walk-through area from Parramatta Road at Chippendale. Lots of shade, landscaping & trees.

Last weekend I went to Chippendale. I haven’t been there in a while.  The drive home was not my usual route & went via Redfern, Darlington, Alexandria & then Erskineville before entering Marrickville LGA at St Peters.

Most of the drive I was photographing streetscapes like a tourist because the streets looked so wonderful.  Big street trees were everywhere.  Even my companions in the car remarked on the beauty.   In this case, photos are more powerful than words.

Look the other way & again, the street trees are tall with a large canopy. The white pole on the left is a Gum tree.

Same place at Chippendale looking the other way. Again, lot of trees. The street trees are taller than 2 storey buildings & have large canopies. The white pole on the left is a Gum tree.

Chippendale - lots of very tall street trees creating a beautiful streetscape.

Charlie's Garden - a community garden in Darlington. I love that it is fenced. Look at the two massive trees.

Street corner on a high traffic intersection in Erskineville. There were three park benches & a number of trees making this a nice place to sit.

This is a pedestrian walkway on the main shopping strip in Erskineville. Cafe tables sat under large shady street trees. I thought it was gorgeous.
