I came across something wonderful today.  Musician Jarbas Agnelli said, “Reading the newspaper one morning, I saw this picture of birds on the electric wires.  I cut out the photo & decided to make a song, using the exact location of the birds as notes.  I was just curious to hear what melody the birds were creating.”

The melody is gorgeous & it is well worth a listen.  The first video is only 1 minute 21 seconds & can be found here – http://bit.ly/1cvEMDK

A live version from the Guggenheim is longer at 2 minutes 30 seconds – http://bit.ly/1cD1g03

This would be a terrific project for schools.  Source their own photos of birds on the power lines & make music from it.  I’m sure it would be great fun for the kids.
