Here is an opportunity to help Marrickville Council get 1,000 plants in the ground at the Beauchamp Street Remnant Restoration Area adjoining & including a section of Marrickville Golf Course.  Work first commenced here on National Tree Day 2012.  See – http://bit.ly/1A9kOVI   The area has since been managed by bushcare contractors.

WHEN: Sunday 31st May 2015.

WHERE: Beauchamp Street Marrickville, close to Bruce Street & just inside Marrickville Golf Course.

TIME: 10am – noon.

Gloves, tools & supervision will be provided.   Wear sensible shoes & bring sunscreen.  Refreshments will be provided.

5th May 2015 – I drove up Beauchamp Street & noticed that a whole new area just inside the golf course has been cleared & covered in woodchip. A number of trees have been removed & logs are laid on the ground. I suspect this is the area to be planted on the Community Planting Day. It should be easy to see which area is being planted if you look out for Council staff on the day.  Photos below.
