I last wrote about the new bush habitat area in Marrickville Golf Course along Beauchamp Street last May 2015. See – http://bit.ly/1AFt8Ce

I cycled past around ten days ago & saw that great piles of mulch have been placed & laid further down the hill. It appears that this garden is being extended. It’s wonderful use of this space & terrific for wildlife.

The garden managed by the Mudcrabs, (see Blogroll) at Wave Rock, along the Cooks River in the Marrickville Golf Course is definitely being extended. A long section has been sprayed for weeds ready for planting.

This area continues to improve as the plants grow & spread. It is worth having a wander along here if you want to have a look & experience a different view of the river with grass beneath your feet.

Showing the area cleared for planting. It is much longer than it appears in this photo.  The Wave Rock bush garden will extend for the bulk of the length of this slope.  Also the path below has been covered with clay, presumably for erosion control & for golf course vehicles to be able to travel here.
