The lovely Opal. Photo by Angela -Robertson-Buchanan with thanks 🙂

Opal is a juvenile Yellow-tailed Black-Cockatoo who was rescued in Marrickville Park in June 2015. See – http://bit.ly/1PUBdFO

Opal is being cared for by Inner West WIRES.  She needs more space to practice climbing & flying. She also needs to be able to connect with her flock who have been to visit her. The hope is to reunite her with her flock. This aviary will continue to have a use once Opal has been released to the wild.

The people of Inner West WIRES are all volunteers & they pay for the feeding & care of wildlife in their care.  Therefore, a cost of $2,000 (perhaps more) is a lot for a volunteer to pay & it is hoped that the community will help achieve this goal.  You can read more & donate here – https://www.gofundme.com/cs5fb3bw  Many thanks, J  🙂
