Close-up of the flowers
I found a street tree that was covered in these little white flowers. The perfume was lovely & filled the air for many metres around the tree. It looked like a Melaleuca & I thought it may be White Lace or White Cloud, but the flowers don’t fit the images I found of those 2 varieties. The flowers do look like white clouds.
It is a compact tree at around 5 metres with a small straight trunk & a ball of foliage probably 3 metres wide. It is growing in a hole in the concrete footpath on a hill & would have little chance to collect rainwater so it must be tough.
Do any of you know what type of tree this is? I’d be grateful for information.

Drum roll …… And an answer has been found for ‘What Tree is This?’ Yes it is! I think our specimen is much better than the one offered as an example. Well done & I thank you very much. I will be able to sleep at night now. Jacqueline
